Within a medical context, drugs and blood are stored in fridges and
should the cooling of these fridges be compromised this will result in
the contamination of the contents. Besides being stored in fridges
medical product such as vaccines are often transported in specialised
containers packed with ice blocks. In this case should the temperature
not be within the band of 2 to 8°C the vaccines will be spoiled.
