What exactly is the Internet of Things (aka IoT, Internet der Dinge, Internet of Everything, M2M)

Here at the iHomeLab, we were asked this question very often in the past.  Even for us, being the Swiss competence centre for IoT in buildings, giving a brief answer was not easy. Even after having done research on sensors and networked devices for more than 15 years. There are just too many application areas and scenarios for networked objects. The Comicbook explains based on 25 Stories and Scenarios, how the Internet of Things can help to make our lives easier in the future.

Battery Room Explosion

A hydrogen explosion occurred in an Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) battery room. The explosion blew a 400 ft2 hole in the roof, collapsed numerous walls and ceilings throughout the building, and significantly damaged a large portion of the 50,000 ft2 building.
