A reverse proxy is installed in a DMZ where inbound Internet based
connections are terminated and then the reverse proxy services the
applications instances which are located in an alternatively network
partitioned server farm. This prevents any web and application instances
from being hosted in the same DMZ and improve the level of information
security maturity.
