Platanna - the Awesome World of Things

The Platanna, also known as the African Clawed Frog, is an aquatic species found in South Africa. Since the 1930’s these frogs have been the backbone for research into modern biology. The frog is quite hardy and many research subjects have escaped into the wild and as a result it has been classified as a pest in certain states in North America.

Battery Room Explosion

A hydrogen explosion occurred in an Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) battery room. The explosion blew a 400 ft2 hole in the roof, collapsed numerous walls and ceilings throughout the building, and significantly damaged a large portion of the 50,000 ft2 building.
