Hadrian's Wall was a defensive fortification built in Northern England
during the period of Roman occupation of Britain. The wall was over
120km long and had a height of up to 6 metres and a width of 3 metres. I
was constructed to keep the barbarian picts from Scotland out of the
empire. Large parts of the wall exist to this day.
