Deploying IoT in short term insurance

The ordinary household in South Africa spends about R350 on having their home alarm monitored with includes armed response. In this neck of the Savannah a home alarm system can set you as much as R30k out of pocket and an extra R16k for an electric fence. The alarm system and fence operate only when armed at a control panel and raise the alarm to the operations centre of the armed response security company to dispatch an armed security officer.

Battery Room Explosion

A hydrogen explosion occurred in an Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) battery room. The explosion blew a 400 ft2 hole in the roof, collapsed numerous walls and ceilings throughout the building, and significantly damaged a large portion of the 50,000 ft2 building.
