Baghdad Battery - a myth that could not be busted - the Awesome World of Things

Alassandro Volta is created the voltaic pile, an early version of the battery. However, within the National Museum of Iraq is a earthenware jar about the size of a man's fist that suggests that Volta’s invention was actually already 2000 years old . The jar was described by a German archaeologist Wilhelm Konig.

Battery Room Explosion

A hydrogen explosion occurred in an Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) battery room. The explosion blew a 400 ft2 hole in the roof, collapsed numerous walls and ceilings throughout the building, and significantly damaged a large portion of the 50,000 ft2 building.
