Network Operations Centres
are the controlling hub of any operator, service provider and even
large enterprise. Often called the Fishbowl as they are ususually
situated in an area which is enclosed in large glass panels. The size
varies but at a practical level the processes are similar but the scale
varies. As well, technology does not change the process. View the two
videos of AT&T's Network Operations Centre below. They are more than
35 years apart. One has a video wall, the other an old school board.
But they did the same thing. The guy in the legacy video concludes well
in the video by saying it's about the people. In all those years nothing
has changed, it's still about people.
