A few years ago, in the not too distant past (mid-1990s), I went on
digital switch training that was certified by Bell Labs. A digital
switch is an ISDN based switch that aggregates and distributes basic and
primary rate telecommunication interfaces. It was the replacement for
analogue and was in demand for video conferencing equipment.
